Job summary

ARCO Design/Build in Salt Lake City invites you to join as a Superintendent Intern/Co-op to gain hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of a project. You’ll work alongside experienced field leaders, learn field operations, safety leadership, scheduling, and quality control while contributing to daily reports and progress documentation.

You will participate in offsite trainings and biweekly learning sessions, supported by a culture that values growth, teamwork, and safety.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Civil/Construction program.
• Driver's license required.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and work ethic.
• Co-op or intern experience in construction preferred, but not required.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Field Operations – exposure to daily job site activities from mobilization to completion.
• Safety Leadership – participate in daily safety meetings and site inspections.
• Scheduling & Coordination – assist with subcontractor activities and progress monitoring.
• Quality Control – observe and support inspections per plans and ARCO standards.
• Site Logistics – assist with site organization and material handling.
• Trade Coordination – learn sequencing and issue resolution with subs.
• Progress Documentation – document daily activities and take progress photos.
• Project Meetings – attend coordination meetings and owner walkthroughs.
• Plan & Drawing Review – become familiar with drawings and shop drawings.
• Job Site Walks – monitor progress and verify safe, correct work.
• Training & Learning – participate in offsite trainings and biweekly sessions.
• Team Collaboration – work with PMs and field teams to align office/field efforts.
