Job summary

ARCO Design/Build in Richmond, VA is seeking a Superintendent Intern/Co-op to learn the full lifecycle of a construction project. You will work with seasoned field leaders on site, supporting daily activities from mobilization through project completion.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program.
• Driver's license might be required (if stated)
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to the full lifecycle of a project while working alongside experienced professionals.
• Participate in safety meetings, job site inspections, and promote a strong safety culture.
• Assist with coordinating subcontractor activities and monitoring progress to keep projects on schedule.
• Observe and support quality inspections to ensure work meets plans and ARCO standards.
• Attend subcontractor coordination meetings, owner walkthroughs, and project planning discussions.
• Become familiar with construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings on the job site.
