Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Quality Specialist to oversee construction quality across multiple utility-scale solar sites. The role involves random sampling inspections, verifying compliance with drawings and standards, and generating NCRs to drive continuous improvement.

Based on the regional assignments, the candidate will travel to active project sites, document discrepancies, and collaborate with field teams and the Regional Quality Manager to implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with field interdependencies in multi‑unit teams.
• 3+ years of experience in solar EPC or utility-scale construction quality control.
• Solid understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and QA/QC protocols.
• Familiarity with solar installation methods and standards (NEC, IEEE, ASTM).
• Proficiency with inspection tools, reporting software, and digital documentation.
• Ability to travel frequently and work independently in field environments.

Responsibilities

• Travel to active solar project sites within the region to perform random sampling inspections.
• Evaluate installation and process quality across civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical scopes (DFOW).
• Verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
• Compare inspection results over time to identify variance trends and inform actions.
• Photograph and document discrepancies; generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Maintain accurate inspection logs and quality documentation.
• Communicate results and trends to project teams and QA stakeholders.
• Assist in training field personnel on quality expectations.
