Job summary

Kelso Industries is seeking a Quality Technician to support QA/QC on active projects, ensuring welding, fabrication, piping, boiler, and mechanical work meet standards and customer requirements.

The role requires an AWS CWI certification, 2+ years in related field, and ability to read drawings and project specs. Travel to project sites is expected, with full-time field work and PPE use.

Qualifications

• Requires AWS CWI certification and 2+ years in industrial construction, welding, fabrication, inspection, QA/QC, or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, isometrics, specs, weld symbols, and project docs.
• Familiarity with AWS/NBIC requirements; exposure to ASME is a plus.
• Experience maintaining inspection records, weld logs, material docs, or similar records.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work at project locations for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Support QA/QC activities on assigned projects with direction from Quality leadership.
• Perform visual welding inspections and verify work per WPSs, drawings, and project requirements.
• Verify welder IDs, qualifications, and continuity records as required.
• Assist with welder testing and qualification activities under Quality leadership.
• Maintain weld maps, logs, inspection records, and material documentation.
