Job summary

RMR Mechanical, Inc. is seeking a Quality Technician to support field QA/QC on active projects, performing inspections, weld tracking, documentation, and ensuring compliance with procedures, codes, and customer requirements.

This full-time role requires 2+ years in industrial construction or welding QA/QC, the ability to read drawings, and willingness to travel extensively to project sites. AWS CWI certification is highly valued and coordination with operations and inspectors is essential.

Qualifications

• AWS CWI certification required.
• 2+ years in industrial construction, welding, fabrication, inspection, QA/QC or related field preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, weld symbols, and project documentation.
• Knowledge of AWS requirements; exposure to ASME/NBIC preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Support QA/QC activities on assigned projects.
• Perform visual welding inspections per WPSs and drawings.
• Verify welder identifications and records.
• Assist with welding tests and qualification activities.
• Maintain weld maps/logs and other quality records.
• Coordinate NDE activities and related documentation.
• Identify and communicate quality concerns to leadership.
• Assist with NCRs, punch lists, and reinspection.
