Job summary

Kelso Industries is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector for Canton, MS. The role involves outdoor work in extreme weather, exposure to noises, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. It requires AWS CWI or ASNT VT II or API 510/570 certifications and hands-on NDT experience.

You will create weld maps, document inspections, assist with pressure tests, and support the Site Quality Manager while upholding Mullins values and safety policies. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience under a Quality Management Program.
• Minimum 4 years as Quality Inspector or Quality Technician.
• Current AWS CWI, ASNT VT II, and/or API 510/570 certifications.
• Extensive knowledge of NDT methods (UT, MT, PT, RT).
• Understanding of ASTM standards and materials.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and project management software (Procore preferred).
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Ability to travel and relocate as needed.
• Experience verifying mechanical equipment alignment.
• Familiarity with codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ACI, AISC, NACE).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create, interpret, and understand Weld Map Isometric drawings with computer software.
• Enter welding and inspection information into tracking tools.
• Assist with pressure testing plans and functions.
• Assemble project documentation packages.
• Perform inspections against drawings, specs, and procedures to determine compliance.
• Test welders and perform weld inspections under various codes.
• Follow Project Quality Assurance Plans.
• Follow Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Assist Site Quality Manager with daily activities.
• Maintain commitment to Mullins core values and safety policies.
