Job summary

Epic Piping is seeking a Weld Out Inspector to join our QA/QC team. You will perform visual inspections on welded products, review welds for defects, and document results to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

This role requires reading blueprints, measuring with calipers and gauges, and maintaining calibration of test equipment. We offer training, benefits, and opportunities to work on national and global projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2-3 years related experience
• AWS-CWI/SCWI certification or willingness to obtain
• ASNT VT Level II/III preferred
• Experience with weld inspection and QA/QC processes

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections on welded products in progress and completed jobs
• Inspect welds for defects such as cracks, porosity and undercut
• Record results of tests and welding inspections
• Read blueprints and data to determine inspection procedures
• Document data and maintain calibration of measuring instruments
• Notify supervisors of production issues and recommend corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with safety, environment guidelines and regulations
• Maintain knowledge of government and industry QA codes and standards
