Job summary

National General is seeking an experienced Field Property Adjuster to investigate and settle homeowners property claims. You will manage the full lifecycle from intake through negotiation, with emphasis on accurate damages estimates, coverage determinations, and timely customer updates.

The role requires proficiency in Xactimate, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Licenses and reciprocity in applicable states are preferred and may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
• Experience handling 1st party homeowners claims and supplements.
• Knowledge of Homeowners insurance policies and claims practices.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and evaluate homeowners property claims from start to finish.
• Confirm facts of loss, determine coverage, assess damages and negotiate settlements.
• Manage full claim lifecycle including supplements, ALE, contents, and personal property losses.
• Maintain clear, timely communication with customers throughout the process.
• Represent company in accordance with regulatory and fair claims practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and training.
