American Family Insurance is seeking a field-based Property Claims professional to manage homeowner property claims in the Fox Valley area. You will report to the Property Claim Manager and may have a company fleet vehicle with personal use option.

Travel up to 75% during catastrophe duty; 50% otherwise. Responsibilities include investigating claims, evaluating damages, negotiating settlements, and applying policy coverages.

Formación

• Demonstrated experience handling 1st and 3rd party, multi-line claims across operating territories.
• Solid knowledge of casualty coverages and the claim handling process.
• Experience with Xactimate is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Investigates origin and cause of claims by contacting insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, and others.
• Identifies complex issues and seeks assistance as needed; handles claims in good faith.
• Handles both 1st party and 3rd party claims under multiple policy types and endorsements.
• Conducts on-site inspections, evaluates damages, and negotiates with insureds and claimants.
• Responds to inquiries, makes decisions, and closes files as appropriate.
• Interprets policy documents and applies coverages to assigned losses.
• Keeps all parties informed about claim process and status; reroutes as needed.
• May participate in other assignments or projects based on skills and experience.
