Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager - Transmission & Distribution to lead complex utility infrastructure projects in Midland, TX. You will guide projects from pursuit through closeout, coordinating transmission, distribution, and substation work with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 2–7+ years in construction project management, excellent communication, and proven leadership, with travel as needed to support long-term onsite assignments.

Qualifications

• 2–7+ years of construction project management within transmission, distribution, utility, or electrical infrastructure projects
• Proven experience managing project scope, cost, schedule, and field execution
• Strong knowledge of T&D construction methods, sequencing, and project delivery
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with project management/scheduling software (Primavera P6, HCSS, MS Project)

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout phases
• Manage transmission, distribution, and substation construction activities
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, field leadership, and internal project teams
• Develop and maintain strong client and utility relationships
• Track and manage project costs, forecasts, schedules, and performance metrics
• Support project planning for transmission line construction, distribution system upgrades, and substation scopes
• Promote and model Michels’ safety-first culture across all operations
• Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and operational feedback
