Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree; Preferred in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of architectural designs/engineering concepts and processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects through influence and drive accountability across contractors, developers / landlords, vendors and cross-functional partners.
• Practical construction technology and methods.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and execute complex phased planning and construction schedules.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to recognize construction risk, evaluate alternatives and drive issues to resolution.
• Ability to travel weekly

Responsibilities

• Manage bidding and awarding processes for GC's, CM's, subcontractors and suppliers for Food Lion-contracted projects.
• Coordinate bid documents, RFQ packages, and maintain accurate bid packages.
• Prepare contracts, purchase orders, processing, and payment of requisitions and invoices.
• Oversee construction change orders and ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Review ARCH/MEP plans for accuracy and conformance to standards.
• Provide value engineering feedback to the Engineering department.
• Develop and implement cost-saving ideas and construction methods.
• Plan and monitor construction schedules, milestones, and phase plans.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Refrigeration, Real Estate and Operations on schedules and handoffs.
• Direct weekly project meetings and ensure progress against schedules.
• Oversee site safety and ensure compliance with plans and safety standards.
• Lead project closeout processes including punch lists and sign-offs.

Education
