Job summary

Barnhart Crane & Rigging is seeking a project manager who will lead field-driven projects from award through closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction. You will spend significant time on job sites, solving problems in real time and staying close to the work.

You will oversee the project management team, participate in site visits and contract reviews, and coordinate with customers, engineers and vendors to ensure scope and risk are managed.

Qualifications

• Experience leading projects from award to closeout.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specs.
• Strong communication with customers, engineers, vendors, and teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project management team and improve efficiency.
• Visit customer sites, participate in proposals, and review contracts for scope and risk.
• Manage project from sales through development into execution, documenting changes.
• Develop and maintain project schedules with critical path awareness.
• Regularly communicate project status: schedule, budget, risk, quality, safety.
• Coordinate work crews and required equipment; manage field leadership and travel as needed.
