Job summary

SEC Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee industrial equipment projects from planning through completion. You will partner with the Construction Manager, coordinate crews, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and customer communications to ensure successful execution.

This position involves up to 75% travel nationally and requires strong leadership, budgeting, and scheduling skills as well as the ability to read blueprints and manage safety compliance on-site.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience in construction or fabrication.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience developing budgets and project timelines.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of construction methods, technologies, and jobsite safety.
• General fabrication knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and timelines.
• Coordinate construction crews and oversee subcontractors.
• Communicate regularly with customers, Construction Managers, and senior leadership.
• Resolve customer and project issues quickly and effectively.
• Prepare weekly project status reports and identify schedule or budget risks.
• Ensure subcontractors meet performance, certification, and project requirements.
• Track contractor hours and project documentation.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA and customer safety requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve project execution and outcomes.
• Travel to jobsites and stay onsite through project completion.

This is a travel heavy position, with up to 75% travel nationally.

• Coordinate construction crews of 5-50+ employees and oversee subcontractors.
• Communicate regularly with customers, Construction Managers, and senior leadership.
• Resolve customer and project issues quickly and effectively.
• Prepare weekly project status reports and identify schedule or budget risks.
• Ensure subcontractors meet performance, certification, and project requirements.
• Track contractor hours and project documentation.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA and customer safety requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve project execution, efficiency, and outcomes.
• Travel to jobsites and remain onsite as needed through project completion.
