Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC. is seeking a Resident Project Representative to support our Water/Wastewater practice in the Northeast/New England Region. The role requires travel within Massachusetts and Rhode Island to project sites, as well as strong communication with engineers and owners.

We offer an annual bonus program and a comprehensive benefits package. The position is not remote and requires relocation to New England or residency in the area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline preferred.
• 3+ years of vertical construction/field observation experience.
• EIT/PE a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft applications.
• Knowledge of construction processes, means, and methods.
• Ability to stand and walk around for several hours observing field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports on the construction of vertical construction municipal water and wastewater projects.
• Monitors and reports contractor adherence to standards, specifications, and drawings.
• Reviews documents, submittals, RFIs, and coordinates review.
• Observes construction activities ensuring compliance and tracks progress.
• Monitors that construction complies with standards and specifications.
• Observes and photographs construction work in progress.
• Notes and reports improprieties and deficiencies.
• Maintains field log of daily events and tracks daily quantities.
• Monitors project schedule and coordinates subconsultants.
• Communicates with engineers, PMs, Owners and contractors.
• Formulates written progress reports and reviews pay estimates.
