Job summary

HDR is seeking a Resident Project Representative II in Indiana to oversee field construction activities on multi-disciplinary projects. You will read drawings, track progress, coordinate with contractors, and ensure quality and safety on site.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Technology, 5+ years of construction experience, and strong communication skills. This role requires travel to client sites within Indiana and may involve leading junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience
• Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Primavera or related construction packages
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents
• Maintain accurate daily records of the contractor's activities, labor, equipment and materials
• Review construction materials for contract compliance
• Track quantities and develop pay estimates for acceptance
• Attend and/or chair construction progress meetings
• Conduct observations of installation and acceptance testing of completed equipment and systems
• Identify nonconforming work and develop punch lists
• Develop record documentation for engineer review/acceptance
• Assist with project audit/closeout
• Supervise junior staff and field inspectors
