Job summary

HDR is seeking a Resident Project Representative to oversee multi-disciplinary construction projects in Indiana. You will read plans, manage daily contractor activity, and ensure contract compliance across materials and workmanship. Strong communication skills and PE/EIT credentials are highly valued.

Responsibilities include attending progress meetings, tracking quantities, and developing site documentation. Travel to client sites may be required, and mentorship of junior staff is expected.

Qualifications

• EIT certification or PE license preferred.
• Construction experience on multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to read/interpret drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and specs; spot discrepancies.
• Maintain daily records of contractor activities, labor, equipment, and materials.
• Review materials for contract compliance.
• Track quantities and prepare pay estimates for approval.
• Attend and/or chair construction progress meetings.
• Observe installation and testing of equipment and systems.
• Identify nonconforming work and manage punch lists.
• Prepare record documentation for engineer review.
• Assist with project audits and closeout.
• Supervise junior staff and subconsultants as needed.
