Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Resident Project Representative to oversee field construction activities on multi-discipline projects in Indiana. You will read drawings, track progress, manage punch lists, and ensure contract compliance. Strong communication and leadership are essential, with travel to client sites and supervision of junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects.
• Fundamental contracts understanding; knowledge of codes and laws governing construction.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications; identify conflicts.
• Team-oriented with strong communication; able to coordinate with stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a field environment and traveling to client sites.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Primavera or similar construction packages.
• Active participant in an employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and specs; identify discrepancies or conflicts.
• Maintain daily records of contractor activities, labor, equipment, materials.
• Review materials for contract compliance.
• Track quantities and develop pay estimates for acceptance.
• Attend and chair construction progress meetings.
• Observe installation and testing of equipment and systems.
• Identify nonconforming work; develop punch lists; verify corrections.
• Develop record documentation for engineer review/acceptance.
• Assist with project audits/closeout.
• Work under Design Project Manager; supervise junior staff and inspectors.
