Job summary

Valdes Architecture & Engineering seeks an experienced Construction Manager to supervise field execution, monitor performance against contracts, and manage costs and schedules for large-scale projects. The role includes close coordination with the construction team, vendors, and clients to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Responsibilities include oversight of site activities, preparation of reports, and maintaining accurate project documentation.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in related field with large complex projects.
• Experience with combined cycle or simple cycle power plants.
• Experience building or managing heavy industrial work.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Demonstrated leadership and strong interpersonal skills are requisite.

Responsibilities

• Report to base of operation with field assignment at a minimum 5 days per week.
• Support project timelines with fluctuating hours and on-site execution.
• Provide oversight and determine contract adherence for performance, cost, scope, schedule, and quality.
• Monitor contract performance and milestones; ensure obligations are fulfilled.
• Support on-site construction management team for field execution.
• Inspect site to ensure conformance to plans, specs, and safety standards.
• Prepare and modify reports, plans, and environmental studies as needed.
• Maintain project schedules and update monthly with construction manager input.
• Review, approve, and submit progress billings; manage costs and cash flow.
