Job summary

Polaris Inc. is seeking a Sr. Field Performance Engineer to own field performance for an off-road platform.

You will analyze warranty, service, and customer experience data to identify issues, determine root causes, and implement durable countermeasures in collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, service, and quality teams. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience with hands-on root cause analysis and corrective-action leadership.
• Ability to analyze field or quality data and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on work with vehicles and equipment to understand customer use and requirements.
• Experience with Power BI, statistical or predictive analysis, data acquisition, and problem-tracking tools.
• Travel up to 10%, including domestic and occasional international trips.

Responsibilities

• Monitor warranty, service, NPS, and field channels to identify trends and risks.
• Define issue scope, customer impact, priority, and expected business impact using data and engineering judgment.
• Lead or support structured problem-solving to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Drive preventive actions and transition long-term fixes to owners.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues and improve product robustness.
• Own the off-road platform quality including warranty and dealer experience; report status monthly.
• Lead warranty projects to run changes or new programs; influence stakeholders to drive closures.
• Develop early warning methods, monitoring tools, and performance metrics for faster issue detection.
• Capture root cause, corrective action, and learning within design standards and documentation.
