POWERX in Dallas is seeking a P&C Test Engineer to provide protection & controls field testing and commissioning across the Southern U.S. You will support the development of safety and compliance programs, contribute to standardization, and strengthen customer relationships.

The role requires 1–3 years in electrical testing with HV assets, strong procedure writing, and proficiency with Doble, Omicron, and RTS software. Travel and onsite work are expected while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in electrical testing with protection and control equipment.
• Experience with transmission and distribution relays (SEL, GE, ABB, Westinghouse).
• Familiar with field testing procedures and report writing; NERC CIP knowledge helpful.
• Proficient in safety protocols and procedure writing.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing including relay protection, breaker, transformer, instrument transformer, and control circuit verifications.
• Execute end-to-end testing and verify relay logic and trip paths.
• Review SOWs, develop procedures, and determine commissioning plans.
• Compile test results into professional reports and document lessons learned.
• Support safety programs and collaborate with other departments on improvements.
