Job summary

Core & Main, a leading distributor of water, wastewater, and civil infrastructure products, seeks an Outside Sales Representative to support large-scale projects. You will engage municipalities, engineers and contractors, managing scopes from pre-bid design through delivery and coordinating multi-stage shipments.

The role requires significant field engagement and travel, with a strong technical aptitude to propose system-level solutions and partner with internal teams on quotes and design-build

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industry outside sales experience (waterworks, civil, mechanical, or distribution).
• Experience supporting large infrastructure or plant environments (water/wastewater treatment and industrial civil projects).
• Strong technical aptitude: engineering background (civil) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage project workloads for Treatment plant and critical infrastructure projects.
• Present customer-provided material lists and complete bill-of-material packages.
• Coordinate multistage shipments to align with construction schedules using the project management team.
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and execution throughout each project lifecycle.
• Develop relationships with engineering firms, public agencies, and major developers.
