Job summary

Core & Main is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to drive opportunities in water/wastewater and municipal infrastructure. You will engage with municipalities, engineers, and contractors, guiding projects from pre-bid design through delivery.

The role requires field engagement, strong technical knowledge of water processes, and the ability to manage multi‑phase scopes while building lasting customer relationships. Some travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in outside sales within waterworks, civil, or mechanical sectors.
• Experience supporting large infrastructure or plant projects.
• Strong technical aptitude with ability to interpret plans and specs.
• Ability to build long-term relationships with municipalities, engineers, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage workloads for treatment plant and infrastructure projects.
• Present BOMs and coordinate multi-stage shipments.
• Collaborate with quotation and pre-bid teams.
• Develop market opportunities and attend industry events.
