Job summary

Core & Main seeks an Outside Sales Representative focused on largescale water and infrastructure projects. You will build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, engineers, and contractors, managing complex project scopes from pre-bid design through delivery.

This role requires significant field engagement, technical aptitude, and the ability to coordinate material takeoffs, quotations, and shipments to align with construction schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of outside sales experience in water/municipal or industrial markets.
• Experience selling to municipalities, engineers, and contractors.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to read plans and specs.
• Ability to manage multi-stage, multi-project scopes from pre-bid design through delivery.
• Willingness to travel for field engagement.

Responsibilities

• Manage project workloads for treatment plant and critical infrastructure initiatives.
• Present BOMs and coordinate shipments to align with construction schedules.
• Collaborate with internal teams to prepare accurate proposals.
• Develop new relationships with engineering firms, public agencies, and developers.
• Serve as primary contact for accounts, ensuring long-term loyalty and technical guidance.
