Job summary

Nelson Connects is partnering with a growing agricultural organization to identify a Farm & Property Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of several properties in the Central Valley. This hands-on role focuses on working in the field, solving problems, and coordinating with farmers, tenants, and partners.

Qualifications

• Practical, curious, dependable, personable, and willing to learn.
• Experience in agricultural operations, farming, irrigation, or agricultural services.
• Experience in property, facilities, land, or field operations.
• Vendor and contractor management; managing budgets and multiple projects.
• Ability to work independently and build strong relationships.

Responsibilities

• Be the boots-on-the-ground point person for several agricultural properties in the Stockton area.
• Regularly visit the properties, walk the land, identify issues, and determine what needs to be addressed.
• Work closely with managers, tenants, vendors, contractors, and outside agricultural partners.
• Coordinate irrigation, water, maintenance, infrastructure, and property projects.
• Obtain vendor bids, manage budgets, coordinate contractors, and see projects through completion.
• Respond to property or irrigation issues when necessary and make sure problems are resolved.
• Maintain strong communication with the ownership and agricultural teams and keep everyone informed.
