Job summary

Central Valley Ag in Shelby, Nebraska is seeking a Field Sales Agronomist to grow the business by understanding producers, earning their trust, and moving operations forward. This is a customer-facing role focused on strengthening current accounts and developing new relationships.

You will recommend fertilizer, seed, crop protection, precision agriculture, and other CVA products, coordinating with operations and agronomy teams to deliver value.

Qualifications

• Experience in agronomy sales or related field preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a field-based sales role.

Responsibilities

• Grow business by strengthening current accounts and developing new relationships.
• Stay connected with producers through in-person conversations, calls, and timely follow-up.
• Learn each customer's goals and input needs to tailor recommendations.
• Prepare pricing, proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales.
• Forecast customer demand and coordinate with CVA teams to deliver on commitments.
