Job summary

Central Valley Ag is seeking a Field Sales Agronomist to advise area producers on their input needs and agronomic strategies. You will build trusted relationships, deliver CVA products, and drive sales across region 7 (Concordia).

The role emphasizes ROI-driven agronomic solutions and collaborative teamwork with our agronomy and sales staff. Responsibilities include forecasting inputs, negotiating contracts, and providing timely reports while maintaining strong customer satisfaction and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or Agriculture is required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an agronomy sales role.
• Proven track record of delivering results.
• Goes beyond basics with strong interpersonal, planning and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with internal operations and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Build intimate relationships with targeted customers to drive top accounts.
• Solicit new business opportunities with courtesy and professionalism.
• Develop knowledge of CVA brands and communicate value to producers.
• Create and implement agronomic solutions to improve customer ROI.
• Utilize seed, precision farming tech, finance and other tools to grow market share.
• Forecast agronomy inputs, price negotiate, coordinate contracts and closures.
• Collaborate with CVA team to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Expand knowledge of products, trends and challenges to offer educated recommendations.
• Provide timely communications, demand forecasts, and sales reports.
