Job summary

FirstLight Field Operations Technicians are responsible for deployment, maintenance, and repair activities on major backbone network components, cell tower back‑haul equipment, and customer premise equipment. You will coordinate with Provisioning, Core Network Engineering, and IP Engineering to enable service delivery, buildouts, and tests.

The role requires knowledge of OTDR and power meters, fiber optics, and safety practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED) with 1–3 years’ relevant experience.
• Experience installing/troubleshooting voice and data services is preferred.
• Ability to pass background checks and maintain a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, and repair backbone network components and field equipment.
• Perform site surveys and create installation instructions with diagrams.
• Coordinate with Provisioning, Core Network Engineering, and IP Engineering.
• Adhere to safety protocols and participate in on-call rotations.
