Job summary

FirstLight Fiber is seeking a Field Operations Technician to deploy, maintain, and repair backbone network components and field equipment across Harrisburg area. You will support service installations, test and turn-up activities, and participate in on-call rotations as essential personnel.

A proactive approach to safety and documentation is required. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with field experience, strong problem-solving skills, and familiarity with basic IP networking and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience installing and troubleshooting voice and data services.
• Experience with field installation, testing, and maintenance of telecom services is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, and repair backbone network components and field equipment.
• Coordinate with Provisioning and Core Network Engineering for service delivery and network builds.
• Perform site surveys, create installation instructions with diagrams and photos, and maintain safety best practices.
