Job summary

NW Natural in Sherwood, Oregon is seeking a Technical Trainer 2 or 3 (CFS Emphasis) to develop and deliver training for field operations, including construction and customer field services. The role focuses on safety, productivity, and compliance.

You will design curricula, conduct classroom and on-the-job training, assess knowledge, and use the Learning Management System to track progress. This is a full-time exempt position with strong growth paths.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively convey standards.
• Proven presentation skills for training large and small groups.
• Strong coaching ability for field personnel and contractors.
• Experience designing and maintaining training curriculum and materials.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains training curriculum and materials for Field Operations.
• Delivers classroom, remote, scenario-based and on-the-job training.
• Designs assessments to evaluate employee performance and knowledge.
• Tracks training via Learning Management System and reviews results.
• Coordinates updates to operating manuals and compliance documentation.
