Job summary

WM is seeking a field-focused leader to oversee onboarding, development, coaching, mentoring, and performance management for drivers and helpers. The role emphasizes close daily interaction with frontline employees, ensuring they have tools and feedback to perform duties safely and effectively.

The position requires driving to sites, conducting daily onboarding check-ins, and maintaining records for regulatory compliance. Strong emphasis on WM Way and safety culture.

Qualifications

• Associate degree path or high school diploma with 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Driver's License valid upon hire and ability to operate in field.
• Preferred completion of WM Operations Manager Trainee program.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding, development, coaching, mentoring, and performance management for drivers and helpers.
• Spend majority of time in the field with frontline employees.
• Provide tools, instruction, and feedback for daily duties; ensure consistent onboarding.
• Conduct safety investigations and enforce WM Way practices.
• Document and maintain regulatory records (e.g., DOT-related) and review route operation documentation daily.
• Visit customers/sites to identify safety issues and explore service alternatives.
