Job summary

Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Rail and Berkshire Hathaway, is seeking a Field Operations Supervisor to lead site-level railcar repair operations. You will supervise a skilled workforce, drive safety, quality, and productivity, and manage staffing, scheduling, and repair tracking at the Bayway, NJ facility.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and experience with KPIs. Base salary is competitive with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of safety practices and quality standards.
• Ability to manage teams, schedules, and production priorities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with KPIs, reporting, and operational metrics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily railcar repair operations with a focus on safety, quality and productivity.
• Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance.
• Drive performance against KPIs including turnaround time and cost efficiency.
• Manage staffing, recruitment, scheduling, and workforce planning.
• Lead toolbox talks and align on safety and production goals.
• Ensure accurate repair tracking, reporting, and customer updates; support audits.
