Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Operations Lead in the United States to guide daily field operations for environmental services projects. The role involves hands-on leadership of crews, coordinating resources, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of environmental operations, waste handling/processing, recycling techniques and safety/regulatory standards.
• Strong operational judgement, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of receiving, purchasing, work orders, special licenses, and DOT training.
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.
• Must be able to prioritize, stay focused and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct daily work activities to ensure safe, compliant and efficient waste handling operations.
• Support operations leaders by coordinating crews, equipment, materials and schedules to meet operational goals.
• Promote and enforce safety procedures, provide operational training, and elevate performance feedback as appropriate.
• Oversee inventory compliance, supplies, and coordination with vendors, transporters, and treatment facilities.
• Ensure proper housekeeping, storage, and handling of waste, chemicals, and processing areas.
