Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks a Foreperson to supervise daily crew operations, coordinate with management on hiring needs, and enforce safety protocols on the job site. The role requires field leadership, incident reporting, and strong customer relations to ensure efficient service delivery.

The Foreperson will mentor employees, manage training, and liaise with property owners to coordinate access and scope. CDL is required, and pre-employment checks apply.

Qualifications

• Must understand drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Capable of adapting to field requirements and taking independent action.
• Must be able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Weight of employee should not exceed approximately 300 pounds.
• No fear of heights.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining for crew on new/revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per company policies and OSHA guidance; conducts safety training.
• Discusses with property owners issues such as access, power interruption, and work scope; refers to General Foreperson when needed.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Promotes good customer relations through timely completion and appropriate employee conduct.
• Investigates incident reports and minor damage claims as needed.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and crew operation reports.
• Controls crew costs via staffing, methods, and equipment usage.
• Furnishes reports on orders completed and crew performance to supervisors.
• Furnishes periodic reports on incidents, truck breakdowns, etc.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
• Sets up barriers and safety measures to protect workers and the public.
