Responsibilities

• Ensure team members understand expectations and hold them accountable for performance, provide regular feedback and development conversations.
• Assist Vice President of Field Operations in hiring new staff members.
• Train team members in estimating, scheduling, and construction management techniques.
• Assist Vice President of Field Operations in employee evaluation and compensation recommendations.
• Terminate team members with VP involvement.
• Significant participation in presentations to prospective clients.
• Participate in client contact program.
• Assist project management in proposal stage with scheduling and budgeting.
• Assign bottom-line responsibility for each project.
• Review all estimates for completeness and competitiveness.
• Ensure use of Ryan Tools consistently across projects.
• Achieve maximum project profit in line with Ryan's strategy.
• Maintain proper cost controls and documentation on all projects.
• Close out projects properly and manage punch lists.
• Keep accounts payable/receivable current on projects.
• Assist in subcontractor approvals and monitoring.
• Develop subordinates on new and existing computer programs.
• Stay current on regional union issues and labor agreements.
• Prepare monthly status reports for Field Operations leadership.
• Participate in Field Manager/Field Coordinator meetings and support decisions.
• Work on division-wide special projects.
• Assist Field Operations leadership with staffing and workload planning.
• Communicate industry developments to the team.
