Job summary

Ruppert Landscape Co. is offering a 10–12 week paid internship in landscape maintenance. You will gain hands-on field training across field operations and shadow teams in various departments, with dedicated mentorship and opportunities for leadership development.

The program emphasizes practical, real-world experience, exposure to day-to-day operations, and potential pathways to full-time roles after graduation. May–August 2027, on-site in Chantilly, VA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Actively pursuing a degree in Horticulture, Turf Management, Agribusiness, Business Management, Operations Management, Construction Management, or related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
• Interest in a team-oriented, customer-focused industry with willingness to support operational needs.
• Comfortable working in both office and outdoor field environments.
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds as part of routine duties.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on field training across multiple areas of field operations.
• Shadow teams involved in Field Operations, Irrigation, Enhancements, Sales, and Branch Leadership.
• Receive dedicated mentorship and professional development throughout the internship.
• Engage in management and leadership development to prepare for future roles.
• Collaborate with a collaborative team and contribute to meaningful projects.
