Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Foreperson to drive daily operations, plan crew tasks, and enforce safety on tree-trimming projects. You will train crew members, coordinate with management and customers, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, plus the ability to travel for storm work. This full-time, non-exempt position offers competitive wages and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must understand drawings and symbols for lines, voltages, and equipment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational ability and multi-tasking.
• Able to travel for storm work.
• Must safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• No fear of heights.
• Work with hands above head.
• Weight not to exceed ~300 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and assign daily crew work after receiving orders.
• Conduct field training and retraining for crew on new/updated tasks.
• Enforce safe work practices per policy and OSHA standards; conduct safety training.
• Discuss issues with property owners and obtain access/permits; escalate to General Foreperson as needed.
• Promote good customer relations through effective completion of work by the crew.
• Maintain records, timesheets, and reports of crew performance.
• Control crew costs; optimize labor, methods, and equipment usage.
• Provide reports on orders completed, time, and incidents to leadership.
• Ensure DOT maintenance and inspection requirements for vehicles are met.
• Inspect and arrange repairs for tools and equipment; keep truck/area clean.
• Coordinate with customers and emergency services when blocking streets or driveways.
