Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road is seeking a Field Office Manager/Project Accountant to lead job-site accounting and administrative support for heavy civil projects in North Texas. The role reports to corporate HQ in Coppell, Texas or to a project site, coordinating field payroll, cost tracking, and vendor relationships.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting with construction experience, strong communication, and meticulous organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years accounting experience, 2+ years in construction preferred.
• Experience in accounts payable, payroll processing, subcontractor coordination, and change order management.
• Experience handling jobsite personnel functions including hiring, onboarding, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of AP workflow and troubleshoot payment or vendor issues.
• Ensure back-up documentation before approving invoices for payment.
• Monitor invoice system to ensure timely payment to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Oversee field payroll for hourly and salaried employees with proper documentation.
• Review cost and cost adjustments to meet company standards and accounting rules.
• Perform a variety of administrative support tasks at project field offices.
