Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road, part of Austin Industries, is seeking a Field Office Manager/Project Accountant for heavy civil projects in North Texas. You will oversee field office accounting, payroll, invoicing, and cost tracking, reporting to the project staff and corporate offices in Coppell, Texas.

The role requires at least 3 years of accounting experience, including 2 years in construction, strong Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to work on site with minimal supervision while meeting

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
• Experience in project scheduling, change order management, and subcontractor coordination.
• Experience handling jobsite personnel functions, including hiring, onboarding, and safety compliance.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Be an effective communicator with strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field office accounting, payroll, invoicing, and cost reporting.
• Ensure back-up documentation is on file before approving invoices.
• Monitor project invoices to ensure timely payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Review costs, budgets, and forecast reports for accuracy and management reporting.
• Perform administrative support tasks at field offices as needed.
• Travel to North Texas project sites as required.
