Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking an experienced LTCR ICF/IID Nurse Surveyor in Longview, TX. The role requires an active RN license (TX or compact) and involves on-site inspections and investigations in long-term care facilities within a multi-county region.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Texas or compact state; must be able to conduct surveys within 12 months.
• Two years of experience in long-term care regulatory setting preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site licensure inspections, complaint and incident investigations in LTC facilities.
• Prepare and write survey reports detailing deficiencies and narratives.
• Travel up to 80% within the region and across the state; occasional office work.
