Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking an LTCR ICF/IID Nurse Surveyor in San Angelo, TX. The Nurse III – ICF/IID position requires on-site inspections, investigations, and the ability to travel up to 80% statewide to assess compliance with federal and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a registered nurse (RN) and eligible for reciprocal licensure in Texas.
• Experience with long-term care regulatory surveys is preferred.
• Ability to conduct on-site inspections and prepare clear reports.

Responsabilités

• Conduct on-site licensure inspections and investigations in long-term care facilities to ensure compliance with laws and rules.
• Communicate clearly with facility staff and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Complete inspection reports detailing deficiencies and narratives to support regulatory findings.
• Revisit facilities to verify corrections after citations and perform QA reviews of documents.
• Possess ability to testify at hearings or court proceedings when required.
• Be available for on-call duties and up to 80% travel across the region.
