Health & Human Services Comm is seeking a Nurse Surveyor (Nurse III) to conduct on-site inspections and investigations in Texas long-term care facilities. The role requires RN licensure, completion of SMQT within a year, and flexibility for up to 80% travel across the state.

Competenze

• Must be licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Texas or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Applicant must complete all training for Nursing Facilities, including completing Surveyor Minimum Qualification Training (SMQT) within one year of hire date.
• Experience in a Long-term Care Regulatory program is preferred.
• Flexibility in work hours; travel up to 80% including statewide travel; on-call duties may be required.

Mansioni

• Conduct on-site licensure inspections, complaint and incident investigations, and annual comprehensive surveys in facilities to determine compliance with federal and state health and safety regulations.
• Write detailed reports outlining deficiencies/violations and provide regulatory determinations.
• Travel within the region/state to facilities; may supervise team members during inspections and provide technical assistance.
