Job summary

NTT DATA Services seeks a Networking Service Delivery Field Support Engineer (L2) to join our team in Chicacgo, IL. The role provides second‑line remote and onsite technical support to clients, installs and configures network infrastructure, and coordinates with clients, carriers and vendors to resolve issues promptly.

Responsibilities include diagnosing incidents, logging detailed records, and following handover procedures to maintain service continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computing or related.
• Professional level certifications in networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, CCNP, JNCIP, ACMP.

Responsibilities

• Configure, install, test and operate client site infrastructure.
• Install and configure software as required by the solution.
• Identify problems and log incidents with detail for timely resolution.
• Liaise with client IT, carriers and colleagues to expedite diagnosis and fix.
• Investigate root causes from second-line support and follow knowledge articles.
• Respond to alerts and escalate to L3 when needed.
• Update incidents with progress and resolution details in the system.
• Provide second-line remote and onsite technical support to clients.
• Escalate issues to third-party vendors when necessary.
• Follow handover procedures to ensure service continuity.
