Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services in Columbus, OH is seeking a Field Operations Technician to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of internet, fiber and copper services. You will install, test, and troubleshoot MACD activities on diverse network equipment while delivering customer‑focused service.

You will work on-site, travel with company vehicle, and uphold Ledcor safety standards in a dynamic field environment requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling.
• Positive, customer-focused attitude enabling handling challenging situations with integrity, empathy, and sincerity.
• Technical college degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience working in the field independently and thriving in a dynamic environment.
• Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high‑quality, customer‑focused service experience to every client
• Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally using effective de‑escalation techniques
• Perform on‑site installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rack‑mounted networking equipment
• Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware components, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity
• Follow Ledcor’s safety standards and ensure proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment at all times
