Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking a Field Operations Technician in Memphis, TN. You will install, repair, configure, and test MACD on Nokia, Infinera, and Ciena equipment, as well as support optical, electrical, voice, and data services for customers across North America.

The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and hands-on problem solving in a field setting, with travel and physical requirements noted in the posting. A technical college degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in telecommunications, installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling.
• Positive, customer-focused approach that handles challenging situations with integrity.
• Degree or diploma from a technical college preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience working in the field independently.
• Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service experience to every client.
• Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally using effective de-escalation techniques.
• Perform onsite installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rackmounted networking equipment.
• Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware components, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity.
• Follow Ledcor's safety standards and ensure proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment at all times.
