Job summary

Qualifications

• Safety awareness and adherence to OSHA, NEC, NESC, DOT and company safety standards.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance on HFC and fiber networks.
• Troubleshooting using test equipment and software-based tools.
• Understanding fiber optic and coaxial network architectures.
• Proactive inspections and maintenance to prevent outages.
• Ability to work on aerial and underground construction.
• Strong customer service and professional communication.
• Operate ladders and aerial lifts up to 34 feet; travel to service areas.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot analog/digital optics to connect to node and network equipment.
• Isolate and repair fiber impairments for HFC/EPON networks.
• Splice aerial/underground coax, activate new plant, and replace damaged sections.
• Coordinate fixes with Construction, Head End, Operations.
• Perform CLI ride-out and leak repair tracking.
• Follow NEC/NESC/OSHA/FCC/EPA/DOT/ANSI and local codes.
• Record work details for customer accounts; complete paperwork.
• Respond to outages; may require evenings, weekends, overtime.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment; safety compliance.
• Travel throughout service area with a valid license.
