Job summary

Aktion Associates, Inc. in Charlotte, NC seeks a Field Network Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in customer-facing network and server environments. You will architect, monitor, and support client networks, cloud services, and security across multiple sites.

You will advise on technology improvements, deliver Microsoft 365 engineering, and help with migrations, security hardening, licensing, and user adoption. Some travel and after-hours work are expected.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in field support for computer systems, servers, and networking in MSP or similar consulting
• Strong network skills including configuring/maintaining firewalls, switches, and wireless access points (SonicWall, Meraki)
• Proficiency with cybersecurity platforms such as SentinelOne, ThreatLocker, Duo or comparable solutions
• Experience with Sage 300 CRE is helpful but not required
• Knowledge of Linux, SAN storage, mobile deployments, and disaster recovery is a plus
• Willing to travel locally 1–2 days a week; remote issue resolution a must

Responsibilities

• Work as a Field Network Engineer with MSP experience, architecting, monitoring, and maintaining client technology network, cloud, and server infrastructure
• Serve as a Technology Advisor, discuss opportunities to improve the client environment with latest tech including CyberSecurity and cloud solutions
• Provide advanced Microsoft 365 engineering and consulting services across client environments (architecture, migrations, troubleshooting, security hardening, licensing, user adoption)
• Balance multiple customers’ requests and projects while meeting customer satisfaction
• Flexibility for after-hours and weekend work when needed
