The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) – Bureau of Wastewater Treatment is hiring a Network Support Specialist to plan, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure across DEP wastewater facilities and field offices across five boroughs.

You will coordinate with BIT and contractors, manage documentation, and support telecommunications systems while driving Cisco-to-Arista migrations and ensuring safety and compliance with DEP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field with four years of related IT automation engineering experience, or eight years of related experience, or equivalent.
• Experience with enterprise network platforms, especially Cisco and Arista; networking certifications are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Install, configure, and support networking hardware (switches, routers, access points, wireless).
• Assist in network modernization projects (upgrades, relocations, cabling).
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN on field sites and provide timely support.
