Job summary

S&ME is seeking an NDT/NDE Technician in Cincinnati, Ohio. You will perform non-destructive testing on structural steel, including UT and MT methods, with field inspections at heights up to 200+ feet, using fall protection equipment.

The role includes equipment maintenance, report writing, and occasional extended hours. Candidates should have 2+ years of NDT/NDE experience or an associated degree, and hold active certifications (CWI, AMPP, ASNT II) or be working toward them.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of NDT/NDE metals testing experience OR an associate degree in a related field.
• Active industry-related certifications are required: AWS CWI or working towards, AMPP Coating Inspector Level I or II, ASNT Level II in at least one method.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspections of structural steel and perform NDT methods (UT/MT) to ensure quality standards.
• Juggle testing assignments across projects and maintain testing equipment.
• Create detailed reports communicating findings clearly.
