Job summary

S&ME in Wilmington, North Carolina is seeking a dedicated NDT/NDE Technician to inspect structural steel and perform non-destructive testing on projects across our Metals team. This role involves fieldwork at heights, using fall protection and safety protocols, and reporting findings to project teams.

You have a minimum of 2 years of NDT/NDE experience or an Associate's degree, and hold relevant certifications (CWI, AMPP, ASNT Level II). Domestic travel and occasional overtime are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of NDT/NDE metals testing experience or an Associate's degree in a related field.
• Active industry certifications such as CWI, AMPP, ASNT Level II.
• Willingness to travel and perform fieldwork at heights with fall protection.

Responsibilities

• Inspect structural steel and perform non-destructive testing on projects.
• Conduct UT weld inspections and MT weld inspections.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and keep records.
