U.S. Bank in Oregon seeks a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate loans in an assigned non-bank territory, take applications, perform preliminary underwriting, and submit for processing. The role requires travel away from U.S.

Bank locations, with at least 50% of time spent on sales activities. Candidates must have an NMLS license, a high school degree, and 2+ years in mortgage, sales, or real estate. Strong communication and knowledge of underwriting standards across FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA

Qualifications

• NMLS registration under SAFÉ Act and Regulation Z, ongoing compliance with registration requirements
• High school degree or equivalent
• Two or more years of Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate experience

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans in an assigned Non-Bank territory
• Take applications and conduct preliminary underwriting reviews
• Submit loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval
• Follow up to secure documents required for processing, underwriting, and closing
• Spend at least 50% of time conducting sales activities away from U.S. Bank locations
